This is a plain-English explanation of what data VOWHOO uses, why, and what you can do about it. VOWHOO is operated by [COMPLETAR: nombre y apellidos o razón social] ([COMPLETAR: domicilio postal]). Contact: quierolio.app@gmail.com.
What we collect
- To play: the name or nickname you type, your profile photo if you add one, points and what happens in the game, and couples trivia answers.
- Photos and videos you upload during the night. By default only your crew can see them.
- Location, only if you turn it on:
- "Your crew on the map": your precise location, visible only to your party. It's deleted when the party ends and, at the latest, 3 hours after the last update.
- "Live location" on the bach party network: other crews only see an approximate area (about 1,000 ft).
- "Exact location" in a chat: only when you tap the button, and only for that crew.
- Bach party network, if your crew turns it on: your crew profile (name, type, number of people and whatever you choose to show), likes, chats, dares, blocks and reports.
- Night video: it's put together on your own phone and isn't uploaded anywhere unless you share it. If you check "Let the AI pick the best photos and write the captions", small copies of up to 16 photos, your crew's names and the game summary are sent to write the script.
- Purchases: if you buy the watermark-free video, the party code, the amount and the details Stripe needs to charge you (card and email). We never see your card details.
- Email, only if you save your party to get back to it later.
- Technical data: an anonymous session ID, a device ID stored in your browser and your IP address in server logs.
How we use it
- To run the service you ask for: the game, the party room, invites and your crew's album.
- Location, posting on the public wall, the bach party network, AI costumes and the AI video script only work if you turn them on. You can turn them off at any time.
- To keep the service safe, prevent abuse and review reports.
- To process purchases and meet legal and tax obligations.
- To measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram with the Meta pixel, only if you accept it in the cookie notice. You can change your choice on the cookies page.
We don't sell your personal information. Without your OK we don't use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. If you accept the Meta pixel, that may count as "sharing" for cross-context advertising under some state laws; you can opt out at any time on the cookies page, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals.
Photos of other people
If you upload or post photos that include other people, you're responsible for having their permission. Nothing goes on the public wall unless someone turns it on and confirms that everyone in it is OK with it. Anyone can report a post and we'll take it down if it breaks the rules.
Who else handles the data
We use service providers that process data on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Supabase: database, photo storage and sessions. Data is stored in the European Union (Ireland).
- Vercel: website hosting and anonymous visit counts (Vercel Web Analytics, no cookies).
- OpenStreetMap (Nominatim and Overpass) and Photon (komoot): place search and map spots. They receive what you search for and the destination's coordinates.
- Open-Meteo: weather forecast. It receives the destination's coordinates and date.
- Anthropic (Claude): if enabled, it writes local challenges and fun facts about the destination (it receives the destination, date and map spots, never photos or people's names). Only if you check the box when making the night video, it also receives small copies of up to 16 photos, your crew's names and the game summary to write the captions. They aren't stored.
- OpenAI: only if you choose the "AI version" of a costume. It receives that photo to return it in costume.
- Stripe: only if you buy the watermark-free video. It processes the payment and receives your card details, email and party code.
- Meta Platforms: only if you accept Meta cookies. It receives the public pages you visit (never your party's pages or code), a signal that you created a party, your IP address, browser and cookie IDs, to measure and improve our ads.
How long we keep it
- Precise crew location: until the end of the party and, at most, 3 hours after the last update.
- Games, album and photos: 90 days after the game's last activity, or sooner if you ask us to delete them.
- Public wall posts: until you take them down, they're removed by moderation, or the period above ends.
- Sign-in email: until you ask us to delete it.
- Purchase records: as long as the law requires for accounting and taxes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Texas), you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of targeted advertising or "sharing". To exercise any of these rights, email quierolio.app@gmail.com with your party code. We won't discriminate against you for using them. If we deny your request, you can reply to appeal.
Age
VOWHOO is only for people 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 21, and if we find any we'll delete it.
International users
VOWHOO is run from Spain and our data is stored in the European Union. By using it, your data is processed there under the protections described in this policy.
